5 Awesome Film-Related YouTube Videos

YouTube is both the greatest and worst thing to happen to me in terms of my Internet usage, others may agree. Having millions upon millions of videos at one’s disposal is almost too overwhelming at times, sucking hours away on something as trivial as a cat following outrageous blunders with a synth keyboard track. It’s also awesome. In the spirit of the blog, here are 5 of my favorite clips that have to do with movies or the people who star in them. Enjoy:

The Best Scenes from The Wicker Man

The title may seem like an oxymoron, but condensing 90 minutes of almost unwatchable garbage to a tidy 2 is like digging through a terrible box of Cracker Jacks for the greatest stick-on tattoo of Nic Cage’s face ever. Who knew violence towards women could be so fun? Tongue firmly in cheek there.

How many “Bobs” are in What About Bob?

Kind of like the videos that count the expletives in The Big Lebowski and GoodFellas, except with names. It’s funnier if you’ve seen the movie, but I haven’t seen a video this goofy capture the spirit of an entire film in a long time. Also, the world could always use some more Richard Dreyfuss.

Alfred tells Bruce how much he loves tangerines

Stemming from the scene where Alfred monologues about his time spent in Burma inThe Dark Knight, a couple of remix artists took it upon themselves to draw out one of the best line-readings in the entire movie about a certain citrus fruit. Hilarity ensues.

Orson Welles loves making wine commercials

At the tail end of his career, arguably one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th Century is reduced to promoting second-rate wine. I’d like to think that Welles knowing this fact led to what we see here.

Jeff Goldblum Combo: Makin’ Noises and Scatting Away

Okay, I cheated here, but 10 seconds of combined Goldblum glee will make for a lifetime’s worth of happiness, and you can quote me on that.

Until next time,

Jake
